Parades, Appointments and Is He Sick, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Ms. GA and Mr. BA were out of town overnight Sunday to Monday, so my Monday started with me doing cat care.  Somehow I still managed to arrive at Carl's for 6am.

His lights were off, or so i thought, and that's not a good sign.  I'd checked his schedule last week, so i knew he had work.  He was either oversleeping or something was wrong.

When i got in the house i realized one light in his room was on, but not the bathroom light, which is the only one i can see from outside.  He was on his sleep chair in the TV room with a thermometer in his mouth.

I stepped back out and whipped out my mask, which is always handy (in fact, i keep two).  Going back in, he muttered through the thermometer, "I on't feel so ood" or something that probably meant he didn't feel well.

He did not have a fever, just tired and had his usual "tickle cough" he has all the time from allergies, so it was determined to be safe and he could go to work.

As i packed him up and got him out, i stayed a bit distant and kept the mask on, just in case.

He was running late enough that he didn't talk much, but i could tell someone had been to a parade.

Beads in the bed!

I've been fussing at him about his change and getting it to the bank.  He had a fair amount, over $100, and lo and behold!

No change in there.  Now, it might still be in the car, there's no telling if he actually got it to the bank unless i can do a check of the vehicle, but this wasn't the morning to do it.

Meanwhile, i rushed him through the last bites of breakfast, handed him his jacket, raincoat and safety vest, and got his lunch to the car a little sooner than the last minute.  He gets in trouble for being late, and he generally tries to slam into the parking lot at one minute to disaster, but on Mondays i try to shoo him away sooner.

He had four loads of laundry waiting for me, including the dirty clothes he'd hung up thinking they were clean.

I found his deodorant as i usually find it.

He also had a dentist appointment (cleaning).  I snagged the new appointment card and put it on the main kitchen fridge so Ms. V could put it in the calendar.  Carl leaves them in the bag with the sample size toothpaste and floss until he forgets it's there and throws it away.  We've done this song and dance and now i grab it out as soon as i see one of those bags on the counter.

Speaking of appointments, how about some funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

  1. Dr appointments are no fun, never were, but these days going to the doctor is just hard. They run late, you have to wait months to get in, the health care system is in a mess, as is most everything in the country right now.

  2. I dread making appointments for the dentist, the eye doctor, the regular doctor. It's just one of those things that has to be done doesn't it. But I love the cartoons they were really cute. And here Carl has $100 in change, wow.

  11. I am always early for appointments because the clinic is just down the road and the dentist a bit further in the other direction.
    Hope Carl is okay.
