It's been a week of mostly small things, but that doen't make me any less thankful for them.
Quiet days are good, i'm thankful most of the days were quiet.
I'm thankful for my new pharmacy. When they auto-refilled only one of my prescriptions and i went in and asked, they filled the others within 5 minutes!
Becca's mom, Ms. A, had Covid. Because she'd stayed isolated from the start and no one else got it, i was able to go get Becca and bring her to church anyway, and we're both thankful because we don't like interruptions to our routine.
Our ladies' meeting this week was at a house out in the next parish/county, and it's quiet and isolated and beautiful out there and i very much enjoyed it.
I'm thankful the friend in our circle who was looking for work has found the perfect job for her.
We got Kevin and Lenny's place cleaned in good time, and as we do it regularly now (once a month) i've noticed an improvement (especially less dust on the auto parts displays).
Ms. G was trying, again, to get organized for taking Patience, the RV, out of town for a bit. As usual, we worked, we got to things, we didn't get to other things. At the end, we're thankful all the critters are fed and some of the work is done. I'm also thankful she did finally get to go, a day late.
I'm thankful for extra income from critter sitting for Ms. G.
Taking care of Mr. L and Ms. V's house can be tricky, as they both tend to sleep late and Mr. L has a lot of serious pain and severe insomnia. Many days i am tiptoeing, whispering, and timing my use of the vacuum to when he's up having a meal. I'm thankful this week they both woke up early for them!
I'm also thankful he was finally able to get his medication, as he's had a lot of trouble finding it for months now.
The cat shelter had so many extra volunteers last night, there was nothing much left for me to do! It's a good problem and i'm thankful for it.
Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Dyanne and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.

ReplyDeleteI am thankful my phone is working well enough to read/write blogs!!! Couldn't convince the site that I had a cookie prevention unit on, so I guess no link if I do it. Sigh. Oh, well, I can still be thankful!!!

ReplyDeleteQuiet busy is a nice thing. Claning a car repair place sure must be messy ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm actually thankful that you make a thankful post. You have so much going on in your life as a working woman a mother and a wife. Up here at the moment we're thankful we only got four inches of snow.
ReplyDeleteSuch nice thankfuls and hooray for so many shelter volunteers!

Those are all wonderful thankfuls. Hope Becca's mom feels better.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a nice quiet week. The shelter seems to have picked up more volunteers the past couple of weeks--that is a nice "problem" to have!
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "I like quiet! Quiet works for me!"
ReplyDeleteOona: "QUIET IS BORING!!!"
Charlee: "And then there's Oona ..."
good 'oT this week. while the 'dodged bullet' is fun and impressive, the 'little things' are, imo, where the real work gets done... practice in recognizing grats is like practice in writing, the more I do, the better I get*
ReplyDelete*at recognizing grats, not necessarily being grateful lol
