Plenty A-Going On, a Ten Things of Thankful Post

 ***********************************

There’s been plenty a-going on, as always, which leaves us with plenty for which to be thankful.

Last Saturday was one of those rare days when it was hard to get Grandma’s house done as every time i went to clean the kitchen, someone was in it.  Everything was done however, thankfully, and i got back into town with a few minutes to spare to get to Becca’s so i could be with her while her parents went to a wedding.

She and Mr. Cal and i were thankful for a walk, complete with hearing the owls in the woods.  We had a great evening, complete with supper, games, brushing teeth, pajamas, stories, and bedtime prayers.

Sunday i was back at Ms. G’s by 5am and at Becca’s a bit after six.  I’m thankful for short Sunday afternoon naps, too.

I’d made plans for going to the special prayer service Sunday evening when i got a text from #2 Son.  I was thankful to be able to change my plans and go take care of little Annie for a while so they could get out of the house a while.  They were thankful for being able to get sushi to go and eat it in the park, just the two of them, and i was thankful for a baby in my arms, even if she cried a bit and ended the evening with a messy diaper.  It’s all part of the love.

Ms. JAI has been driven crazy by geckos in her house.  They do make a loud noise this time of year, calling for mates, and a couple have gotten in her room and serenade her all night.  I was thankful while cleaning one of them jumped on my arm and i was able to walk it outside.

My lesson at the ladies’ meeting Tuesday went well and i was very thankful.

The cat shelter was full Wednesday morning and Ms. G had a full day for us, getting Patience the RV ready for storage again.  I was thankful she didn’t keep me as late as the last couple of weeks.

That evening, as i was leaving for Bible study, the tire pressure light came on in the car, so i ran in and told my Sweetie to take it to air it up and i took the other car to study, it’s one of the times i’m really thankful we have a second car.

The lady who has opened her house for the study had a wonderful light up magnifier for reading and i asked which brand it was and whether she liked it, as i'd been thinking of getting one and she handed it to me, with the charge cord!  Talk about a thankful, she was so kind.

Thursday morning we ran both cars to Kevin and Lenny, GusGus to get the check engine light turned off and Slow Moe to have that low tire checked.  Thankfully the tire had held pressure through the night and all of them seemed fine, with the tire pressure light staying off.  As for GusGus, it's the gas tank pressure and just a nuisance, not a worry.

Friday was rEcess!  Supper!  Brownies! Get out of the stroller/wheelchair!  Gym time!  Every craft item came out of the box and was employed!  Running, foosball, air hockey, more running!

We're all thankful, our hearts are so full.
