Truth in Matrimony (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Sweetie and i celebrated an anniversary recently.  We've been together "a while."  Why did we stay?  We had an agreement -- whoever left first had to take the kids along.

I'm several years younger than he, and he wanted to call me his "trophy wife."  He dropped that plan when i asked him if i'm the trophy, does that make him the consolation prize?

Grand-père an' Grand-mère Boudreaux done be celebratin' dem de 60 year anniversary.

Dey 'tite-garçon [grandson], Tee, done ax Grand-père, "How long you be marry?"

An' Grand-père done get him "de look" from Grand-mère when he say, "Mais, we done been marry sixty year, an' we done had t'irty good years together!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

Our church's choir director and his wife are expecting.  They announced it's a girl with a "pretty in pink" party.

A member of our church turned 90, and some friends and her Sunday school class gave her a surprise party.

A few random photos, and a very few sky shots.  We haven't had many colorful sunsets the last week or so.

Yes, Ms. JAI parks on carpet in her garage.  No, i don't know why.

Thanks to Little Buddy, another one bites the dust at Ms. GA's house.
(I cleaned the mess and took it all outside)

  5. Once, Mom came home off the midnight shift to find all...all...of her potted plants on the floor and carpet. (cat) She has watered them only that morning, so mud everywhere. All succulents. It was heartbreaking to her. She loved her plants. Enjoyed the fact..I always do and the birthdates of famous people. That picture of the losing birds is precious. I haven't seen anything nice or better. And I see Louisiana thing aside from Boudreaux which I loved...and assume that is where you are. I used to make many every 6 week trips to New Orleans. Enjoyed my time there.

  8. It's nice to make people feel appreciated and join their good feelings in a party. I did a double take about parking on carpet. It kind of bothers me, imagining trying to get the oil out... What fantastic paintings those are! I'd like to know more about them.
