Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
Grandma had very little in her dirty clothes pile yesterday, so i asked her about it.
She said, "I was bad this week, I didn't change often and only sponge bathed."
Of course, i told her that wasn't bad and it's her choice, she doesn't go anywhere or do anything that will get her really dirty, and indeed, she doesn't get dirty or stink, so it's up to her.
Boudreaux an' Clothile done add an extra bathroom to dey house as de kids done be growin' up an' needin' mo' room, an' dey puts a shower in 'cause de firs' bathroom only gots a tub.
Dis gets Tee Boudreaux to thinkin', an' he ax Boudreaux, "Père, do a shower be better'n a bath?"
An' Boudreaux say, "Mais, I don' know 'bout better, but a bath be like marriage, once you be in it a while, it don' be so hot no mo'."

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.
First up, a few pretty things i happened to notice this week.

Love your pretty things and, of course, your skyscapes.
ReplyDeleteI hope the new pharmacy works out for you. Here which pharmacy we get our scripts filled at is up to us.
Beautiful pictures of beautiful pictures
ReplyDeleteAnothe rfine collection. Really like the first three paintings. The two rockers somehow appeal too, maybe because we have to wonder who was in them, and what they did. We have given up on bananas and now keep them in the fridge. The may go black on the outside but tend to still be good and hard within.

Funny joke. Nice photos. Let us know if that works on the bananas. I wish Grandma still made her fairy gardens, I always enjoyed those.
ReplyDeleteOh no, how terrible your pharmacy closed. Too bad they couldn't have given long time customers a warning. Lovely art work and photos.
ReplyDeleteVery nice artwork in the new pharmacy. I have given up buying bananas, the cold storage ones have no taste and once they begin to ripen they go bad very quickly.
ReplyDeleteNice sunset photos. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteA brilliant Cajun joke and I really like the pictures of pictures!
ReplyDeleteThose cooling temperatures can be hard to take--both in the tub and the marriage! Love the artwork and the sunsets! So glad you were able to find another pharmacy that is fairly convenient!
