New Clothes and Old Problems, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

When i arrived at Carl's yesterday, the place was dark, which is unusual and often means he has another day off.

I carefully approached his room and gently tapped.  He said something which i thought sounded like a muffled, "Come in," so i did go in, and he was coming out of the bathroom, dressed for work.

Whew.

Then i saw his bed.

I had to ask myself, how does he sleep there?

Digging out the keys to his car, i went to check for his cold vest and ice packs.

He'd left the spare key in the trunk of his car overnight.  It's a good thing the spare only opens the doors and won't drive the car.  Anyone breaking in would have found a mess already and nothing of value, and the car would still have been there in the morning.

In fact, would we even have known someone broke in?  I doubt it.

Lunch is next.

He had sandwiches in there somewhere, and i added a peach, some carrot sticks, and a couple of nibbling snacks of the kind he likes.  It's a wonder he finds anything to pack on the days i'm not there.

Then there's laundry.

He'd done a small load, and then only dried half of it.  The good thing, when i checked the last cycle used was an actual wash cycle, not just a rinse.  It helps when the clothes have been actually washed and not just rinsed.

Now to get him to realize the nice shirts his friend gave him need to be pulled out of the dryer before they wrinkle.

Yes, his friend RP gave him two boxes of clothes, in the size he needs now.  Although as i told his mother, Ms. V, for every one new item, he needs to get rid of one or two old ones that don't fit any more, or his closet will explode.

Speaking of closet explosions, he hasn't done this in a long time.

Stuffing clothes on the top shelf because he doesn't want to take the time to hang them up, or he picked them up off the floor to get the floor cleared.  Yes, if you're Carl, it's easier to take dirty clothes off the floor and put them on the top shelf than to put them in the clothes basket on the floor next to where they'd been dropped.

It had been so long since he'd had anything up there, i almost missed it.  Just when i thought it was safe to quit searching the top shelves...

On that theme, how about some funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

  1. How does he sleep in there indeed. And I suspect that things get lost in that bed.
    Thanks for the funnies.

  2. How does he survive without you there. He needs someone there every day to keep the place in shape. Having to go through all that mess every time would make us nuts, but you are obviously a much more patient person.

  12. Carl's laundry is what I would struggle with. I think I would just be washing everything every week, just in case. And, from what you say about his crowded closet, that would be no easy feat!
    Great funnies!
