Hats, the Sniff Test and Indigestion, a Random and Happy Tuesday Word Counters Post

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.  

Part of today’s post is also a writing challenge. This is how it works: one of the contributing bloggers picked a number between 12 and 50. The submitted number is a challenge to participating bloggers to write at least one piece using that exact number of words.

Yesterday at work Carl was making breakfast and i asked if he'd put on his sunscreen.  As if to keep me guessing, he said, "Sunscreen?" and left to go do it!

Kinda lonely in there with only two items.

Last setting, rinse and spin.

Turning my attention to laundry, i found the dryer only had two items in it, and then turned on the washer.  He's back to only rinsing clothes, not washing.  Oh, joy.

In his room was the usual chaos, and now i also had to do the sniff test on most items to see if they were clean or not.  Oh, joy, again.

As much stuff as i've had to sniff test in my life, and as many cleaning chemicals as i smell all day, it's a wonder my sniffer even works any more.

His breakfast was the breakfast sandwich in the toaster oven, plus two kinds of cereal, a fruit cup, after that i lost track.  And, "Whatcha packing for lunch?" he asked.

As his mama says, it's a good thing he stays active as much as he eats.  And he always keeps Beano, GasX and Tums around.  He loves food, sometimes too much.

The bad news is, he wasn't wearing an apron while he ate that nice breakfast.  The good news is, he was clutching a towel.  The bad news is, it wasn't enough.

I found a clean shirt and he didn't argue about changing.  Then he grabbed hat and keys and i headed him out the door.  I know better than to lock it.

He came back twice, once to ask if i'd packed his water bottle (i had) and once for something else he mumbled about and then he found it on his own.

The hat is on the bed because that's where he dropped it.

While inside, he took his hat off, then grabbed another on the way out.  On the bed is where i found the first one he'd taken.  Distraction, thy name is Carl.

Speaking of Tums, he'd pried the whole top off instead of removing the little ring from the cap so it would flip open.  I fixed it so it would work right.

Anyone want to bet on whether it's still properly attached next week?  I'll see your bet and raise you he'll have Tums in all his pants pockets!  He's just too much.
