Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (may he rest in peace), and i'm going to believe it's because he liked cats.
He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she's entrusting it to me.
Feline Friday is simple to join. All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute). Then add your link!
One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do. So come and join us in Feline Friday.
What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!
Several weeks ago, two kittens came to the shelter in very poor shape, especially the tiny female. She was half the size of her brother and had almost no fur. They were not infected with anything, just seriously malnourished. The tiny girl looked like a plucked bird, so they were named Dove (the boy) and Quail (the tiny girl).
After a few weeks in a foster home, they came and were up for adoption less than 24 hours. They stole the hearts of a newly married couple and went home together after their surgeries.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!
Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:
1. My favorite beverage to drink when it is hot out is _________.
2. My favorite summer activity is _________.
3. I'm grateful that I have the freedom to _________.
4. If I don't _________, I'll forget _________.
1. My favorite beverage to drink when it is hot out is ice water, with an occasional glass of unsweetened iced tea thrown in for good measure..
2. My favorite summer activity is keeping cool! I'm not a fan of sweating.
3. I'm grateful that I have the freedom to practice my faith as I see fit.
4. If I don't write it down, I'll forget everything!

Those two kitties are so sweet and I am glad they have made a good recovery.
ReplyDeleteGreat fill ins, I agree with all of them, but instead of iced tea I sometimes add a drop of pure orange juice.
My uncle died of mesothelioma cancer. He worked in Devonport Dockyard from the day he left school drilling holes in asbestos. No-one realised how dangerous it was back then, or if they did they were keeping it quiet.
I am so glad that those kittens (cuties) went to a home together. And love your fill-ins. I am also not a fan of the sweaty season.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful kittens. Thanx Mimi.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
That Dove and Quail are so beautifully different! I'm so happy that they are already in their forever home. Their folks are so lucky to have them. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous that the kittens stayed together in adoption! You all work so hard to keep them healthy and safe. What great commitment. I too drink mostly cold plain water, hot tea for breakfast and sometimes in this heat a cold unsweetened home made tea. Have a great Friday.
ReplyDeleteWe're so glad Dove and Quail received such good care and found their furrever home. What a couple of cuties!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to do in the summer for my whole life was to go to the beach, another reason I hate living in the Midwest {{sigh}}. Hope you had a great Independence Day.
ReplyDeleteWe have a couple of similar answers this week. Adorable kitties and so glad they went home together.
ReplyDeleteChaplin: "Poor kitties! We are glad they found a good home together!"
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "No fur, that reminds us of what happened to our beloved brother Dennis with his demodectic mange before Mama and Dada adopted him."
Happy kitties in a happy home! As for writing things down, I leave myself notes everywhere!
ReplyDeletethose kitties look like pure bred kitties!! They are gorgeous! Love the names that were assigned to them, wish the new pawrents would keep the names, but regardless, I am thrilled they were both adopted together!! They will hopefully have a wonderful life!
