Someone is a Tad Bit Possessive (Wordless Wednesday) and Words for Wednesday

***********************************

Linking up with Wordless Wednesday, Keith, Catsynth, and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

***********************************

Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and has become a moveable feast of word or picture or music prompts to encourage us to write stories, poems, or whatever strikes our fancy.

The prompts this month will again be posted by Elephant's Child and are provided by Charlotte (MotherOwl)

This week's prompts are:

  • Include
  • Lick
  • Saunter
  • Hand
  • Berry
  • Apples

And/or

  • Respect
  • Elbow
  • Fork
  • Measure
  • Knife
  • Dream

An additional prompt from Charlotte (MotherOwl) is her colour of the month to use (or not) in your take on the prompts. The colour for July is "Writing Pleasure Purple."

#2 Son and Daughter-in-Law have a DREAM, and it does not INCLUDE living in an area so crowded you stick out your ELBOW and bump into other people.

They have their sites set on a place in the country, up further north where you get snow most winters which you MEASURE in feet, not inches.

Both of them have a great deal of RESPECT for nature and have spent a lot of time camping, she grew up exploring the wilds of Alaska, he out in the swamps here in south Louisiana.

They want to live where they can grow fruit trees like pear, plum and APPLE, where the BERRY bushes are wild, where they can hunt and mostly put their own game on the table, not store bought meat.

They envision a kitchen garden, a salt LICK to attract the deer, maybe even a creek on the banks of which you can SAUNTER HAND in hand, or stop to catch fish if you've a mind to, a piece of land where you always carry your hunting KNIFE and you know every FORK of every path and still find surprises sometimes.

This isn't just a Purple pie in the sky dream.  Daughter-in-Law's uncle has such a place, and knows his neighbor who will be looking to sell his land in the next couple of years and doesn't want it to go to people who wouldn't care for it well.

To this end they are living well below their means, socking away the savings, preparing in every way they can.

As much as it would be difficult to see them go, i do hope they get there.

  1. It is good to have a dream and if can become reality, you are super lucky. We hope they can save and eventually have their dream down the road.
