Second Verse, Same as the First, a Random and Happy A to Z Post

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Or perhaps, in Carl's case, thousandth verse, same as the first.

Easter is one of the few holidays where they have people over, and it shows.

Everything which belongs in the kitchen is stuffed into the laundry area and the good China has been washed by hand.

Old habits die hard, there is supposed to be a garbage can on the side of the washer, but the collapsible bin was there instead, and it got used.

Carl had a hard week, too.

Now he has three chairs, the lotion has moved to the one with the sheet on it.  You'd think this would protect it from getting lotion all over it, but not if you know Carl.

Last week he was missing a pillowcase, this week he had an extra one and he still managed to have a pillow with no pillow slip.  I don't know how it happens, and neither does he.

Nor does he know how this happened.  This is the second belt broken in this fashion.

Pickings were slim in his fridge, but he bought a dragon fruit.  He is trying to expand his repertoire.

He got up to take his meds, then went back to snoozing for a while.  Just before he did go back to the sleep chair, he mumbled something to me which sounded like, "I need to straighten..."

Go to sleep, i told him, once i get here, it's my job.

He went, then got up later to shower.  Somehow, whatever clothes we agree on and he brings in there with him, by the time the shower is over, he changes something.  Must be in the water.

As always, he comes out ready to talk.

"The church wasn't as full yesterday," he began, then added, "great song."

There was a great song at church? i asked.

"Yes, it was new..."

What was the name?

"Um, title...not sure..."

Later i found a church bulletin from our church and realized he'd attended the later service, after going to the closer church with his mother to an earlier service.  I think he was talking about the song "His Heart Beats."

He continued.  "Went to a movie ... Minecraft..."

If i know Minecraft is a game it's about as much as i know, and he plays it with his friend so i asked if he'd played this weekend.

"No, Minecraft the movie," he said, then "and I left early, I needed a nap."

Well, you've had your nap this morning, go get breakfast, i told him, and went to make his lunch.   He was talking to his dad, "They said they close at 2, but there were still people there at 2..."

Once his lunch was done, i was back in his room and he came in looking for a thingamabobber, which is Carl's technical term for anything he can't remember the name of.

"We had company!" he said and i noted i remembered some extended family always comes for Easter.   Then he said what sounded like "the boogers didn't come."

I asked him to repeat that, and it sounded like "boggarts" the second time.  I'm not sure which guests didn't make it, but i'd guess the name at least starts with a B.  Then again, maybe not.

He then discussed how he'd gotten his new card activated and his phone.  He had to get a new phone, it turned out the reason he could no longer get his work schedule was the old phone doesn't work with their system.

Then he left to look for his phone.  Some things never change.

How about some funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!
