After the last couple of weeks coming into Thankful Day not knowing which way was up, it's nice to be a bit calmer this week.
I'm very thankful the cars seem to be doing pretty well, Slow-Moe's electrical problem has not come back.
My Sweetie and i are both thankful the rain during our drive home from NOLA last week wasn't too bad, as rains go around here.
Becca's mama was out of town visiting the grandchildren so we're both thankful everything went well and as usual and Iim thankful her father does a great job even when mama is gone.
I was thankful to get to the bank on Monday. It's not easy with work to get all the way across town in traffic, but it worked out nicely this time.
Tuesday started our summer Bible study and it was a fabulous lesson on Psalm 34. I'm thankful it's not too far so I can go.
Another volunteer wants to sometimes do the kitten cages on Wednesday mornings and i'm thankful to simply do the rooms and then have a bit of extra time before going to my other work.
Ms. V got up early Thursday! Early for her, that is, and i'm thankful because it means i can get the work done a bit earlier and i was very thankful to get home in time to hear the generator do a test run. I haven't been home on a Thursday at that time in a few weeks.
The cat shelter was closing early on Friday because of the holiday, i'm thankful we had our usual prayer breakfast, then cleaning Ms. GA's house, then a quick rest and going over early to care for the kitties.
Don't think i've forgotten our little Annie, she always figures into my thankfuls. This week as usual i was there on Sunday evening and Tuesday, and got to at least see her the other days.
On Thursday evening, her parents and some friends were going to another late evening concert and therefore another babysitting night. She hadn't had supper but didn't seem very hungry, eating only a little bit and then falling asleep more quickly than usual.
Then she got sick to her stomach in the night, and went right back to sleep! I was thankful to find towels and wipes in their house, thankful she didn't wake up when i was wiping her clean, thankful she did not have a fever (i found the thermometer).
Friday we were all thankful she seemed totally back to normal, going with her parents to a party and Aunty A's house.

Poor little Annie. Nothing worse than an upset stomach is there. I am thankful summer is here and I am thankful that I am out riding my bicycle quite a few mornings a week while it's still cool but humid. Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeletehappy you found another 10 things to be thankful for, I list as many as I can think of while walking Beau each morning. some days there's a lot more than others. today while I cooked bob's eggs which I dread dread dread, I kept praying and saying thank you I can stand here and can break the eggs and have a stove to cook on. it did not help I still hate cooking eggs
