Cookie and Emmie (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week, and Poetry Monday - Building

 ***********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

Cookie and Emmie play chase, nap together and are seldom apart.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week.  While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

***********************************

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break

accommodations we must make

we miss her poetry and wit

so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!

This week the theme is Building.

*******

buildings that shelter

horses are generally good

because they're stable

*******

Overly complicated buildings

are very scary indeed,

it's a complex complex complex

my shrink and I agreed.

*******

"What dog can jump higher than buildings?"

my little tot asked as a joke,

I asked what kind, he said, "All of them,

'cause buildings don't jump, slowpoke!"

*******

I asked when I moved into town,

"What's the tallest building around?"

"The library," they said,

"why, haven't you read

they have the most stories, hands down!"

*******

Future themes are:

July 28 Building (Today!)

August  4 Lonely

August 11 Biscuits

August 18 Don't Be Afraid

August 25 Wonderful

(All themes are from the 365 Days of Drawing Prompts and Other Arts Facebook group.)

  7. What cute little buddies! Your poems always are so amusing. :D DH mentioned yesterday being Milk Chocolate Day. We had a little chocolate in our ice cream last night. It was really good and while it wasn't milk chocolate that's as close as we came to celebrating. Hmmm, I wonder if we have any milk chocolate ice cream? Ooo, I think we do!
