The "Eyes" Have It, a Ten Things of Thankful Post

There was a big thankful this week, it "might could be" all ten things in itself.

Because Monday was otherwise spoken for, we cleaned Grandma and Grandpa's house as fast as ever we could and high tailed it back in a bit of a storm so i could also do Ms. S, neighbor of Carl.

I was thankful it worked out well, Ms. S and Mr. D can go on their yearly trip to see the grandchildren and great grandchildren and the house is clean.

Sunday we were thankful for a good puppy walk with Mr. Cal and once the church service was over, i was thankful to have enough energy left to deal with Carl.  He gave me a run for the money.

I was also thankful i remembered to start my eye drops as prescribed.

Waking at 3am Monday, i was thankful to have plenty of time to take my meds with a couple of sips of water and catnap until time to go to the eye surgery place.

Unlike my first cataract surgery, i'm thankful this one was not at all painful, i only took one Tylenol once for the discomfort, and i didn't come away with my eye bloodshot from end to end and bruises from eyebrow to cheekbone.

Also, they used a clear cover over my eye so i could see out of it right away, and what i saw let me know it was going to be just fine.

We're thankful #2 Son and Daughter-in-Law installed a new mailbox for us, the old one was quite tatty.

I'm thankful i was able to drive myself to my check-up the next day and to Bible study, and thankful the study was as excellent as always.

Of course, i also took care of our little Annie the next day, too, always a delight.

When planning this surgery, i decided early i was going to take an extra day off, and i'm thankful i really did have a day off Wednesday with nothing to do at all but what i wanted to do.

It was also #1 Son's birthday and i was thankful he stopped by so i could give him a hug and his birthday gift.

I'm thankful he has stood tough during a difficult time at his job and has come out of it stronger.

By Thursday i was thankful i'd rested as i had Ms. V's house and then my Sweetie and i went and did Kevin and Lenny's place.

We're both always thankful when this day's work is over.

Friday morning i was thankful for our prayer group and another day babysitting, then another great visit to the cat shelter.  We had extra volunteers and we're always thankful for adoptions, of which there were 3 while i was there.
