Don't Quit Your Day Job (Six Sentence Story) and Holidays Hang On (Good Fences)

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

"I have a new joke to tell at the comedy club tonight!"

Okay, I'll bite, try it.

"Boudreaux an' Thibodeaux be done travelin', an' dey be tryin' get on de plane wit' a dead 'dillo[armadillo].

Dey be axed, "Would you like to check that as luggage?"

An' Boudreaux say, "Mais, no, cher, c'est carrion!"

You need new material.

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Material.

Gosia, of Looking for Identity, has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World.  Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.

It can take a while to get in the mood to take down Christmas:

  1. Mimi,

Cajun humor is hard to follow but not your SSS - good job! :D Oh yeah, it take some of us time to get Christmas all down! We don't do outdoor decorating and I always wondered about folks in colder climates how the managed to get it done. I can't even imagine how awful that has to be to do! It's so frigid in East Tennessee this morning. It's currently 28º but it'll drop a few more degrees before the sunrises. Have a good day and keep warm!

  2. I like this one, I obviously shouldn't be at your comedy club :) We have got christmas decorations down, did it on the 6th but have left up some of the fairy lights because they brighten up the gloomy January weather here. Happy new Year!
