It Started and Ended With Laundry, a Random and Happy Tuesday Word Counters Post, Plus Wednesday's Words

***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Part of today’s post is also a writing challenge. This is how it works: one of the contributing bloggers picked a number between 12 and 74. The submitted number is a challenge to participating bloggers to write at least one piece using that exact number of words.

This month, the word count number is: 22

It was submitted by:  Karen of Baking in a Tornado

Here are links to the other blogs featuring this challenge. Check them out!

Baking In A Tornado

On the Border

Arriving at Carl's place on Monday mornings, i never quite know what i am in for, a mild muddle or major meltdown.

Yesterday, it was Defcon 5, with a laundry back-up.  He'd gotten a load into the dryer, but it never quite got dry.

The next load got washed, set on the counter to fall off and get stepped on, and more put in the washer.

Meaning i arrived to find wet, spoiled laundry, along with the usual mess and mayhem.  His mom just shuts the door now.

He asked me to help clean out the car, which is a project in itself.  Only if we have time, i said.

We never do have time.  By the time he finishes breakfast and takes a shower, he barely makes it out the door.

He asked me to find the Beano, in the car.  A search found two empty boxes and an empty bottle.  No pills.

Upon informing him, he said, "Well, they fell out of the bottle, and I wiped them off and left them to dry..."

No, we did not find any Beano.  Whatever might have been left of it, i most likely do not want to find.

He turned the radio on KLove (Christian radio) and started talking about a song they've been playing, "Fires" by Jordan St. Cyr.

"I can understand G-d with us in storms, but in fires?  I don't know about that," he said.  "I don't get it."

St. Peter talked about the fiery trials we go through, i told him.  And remember Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the furnace?

That seemed to satisfy him, as he said, "Trials can be storms or fires."  He really does think deeply about such things.

Later, at Ms. PA's house, Mr. Jack was asking the home health aid to make lunch.  "She spoils you!" Ms. PA said.

He smiled, saying, "If I can get along with three ladies that I like, I'll be as spoiled as I can get!

The toilet seat riser purchased after Ms. PA hurt herself was in the laundry room, and i asked if it needed cleaning.

"No, I'm not using it any more," she said.  "I just don't like it.  You can't wipe yourself sitting on that thing!"

This is one of those cases where i am just going to take her word for it and leave it out there.

Ms. S was in fine form when i got there.  The TV had been off all day, the cable trucks were everywhere.

Folding laundry, i asked about a dress that is one of her favorites.  It has been "loved to death," having several holes.

"Hang it up!" she said, "I promise I won't wear it out of the house now that it's more holey than righteous!"

Now that i have done 21 sentences of 22 words each, let's finish up with a couple of PSA's, courtesy of Carl.

This is why you take your mask off before using dental floss:

Always make sure you have some dental floss everywhere, as you never know:

If Carl has been digging in the butter with his fork, it is now his butter and goes in his refrigerator:

 Now a few from Grandma:

Have a blessed and beautiful day, everyone!
