There's Always Something to Laugh About, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

As i was getting up before dark yesterday, Sweetie decided to get up and make a quick trip to the "little boys' room," so he reached for his flashlight.   (He has learned not to turn on a bright light first thing as i'm waking up, it really bothers my eyes.)

He fumbled in the drawer, and felt around, and finally said, "Geez, I need a flashlight to find my flashlight!"

After much frustration he found it -- in another drawer.  He forgot he'd decided to keep it elsewhere.

This is why i sometimes feel like i live in a circus.

Carl, as usual, had an odd request.  "Can you set out the traps I bought?"

He had glue traps to catch bugs or whatever might be in his room, as he doesn't mind messes that sit still on the counter but he cannot stand anything that moves.

Trying to tell him that it would be better to seal the opened food containers and thus prevent the need for bug catching is an uphill battle.

Is one Brussels sprout worth the whole bowl in the fridge?

It's smart to store the open pack in a zip bag if you close it.

Sweetie called me mid-morning having a panic attack.  "I can't find my debit card!  Quick, get online, check the bank accounts, make sure no one is using the card!"

Instead, quick, go back to the last place you used it, and ask them if you left it there?

He did go back, and it was there.  Danger averted.

Ms. PA was doing the crossword puzzle in the morning paper.  "There's always one corner where I just don't know the answers!" she lamented.

When i asked for the hint, she said what sounded like "Mr. Sanders."  As i leaned over, i saw the clue was "Mr. Sandler."

Adam, i told her, he's a comedian.

"That's it!" she said with glee, and which helped her get the last couple of clues.  It's always fun to help a fellow puzzler.  Especially when she's 91 and wouldn't know Adam Sandler if he showed up to do a skit in her living room.

Of course, she remembers all the great old comedians, and that's probably a lot better.

How about some fun stuff that Grandma passes along to me:

Have a blessed and beautiful day, everyone!

  3. Sometimes it just needs a bit of common sense. One of the twins lost a very small but precious toy bear and we spent hours looking for it without success.I asked her where she'd just had it and got a blank look. THe other day she said, "Do you remember I was playing with my lost bear with you on the sofa last time I saw him?" No, I didn't remember. But I went there, pulled the sofa out, and tucked behind it was the tiny bear! That grey cat and the seat are amazing. I would not like to accidentally sit on the cat by mistake....

  8. "Geez, I need a flashlight to find my flashlight!" I love this statement. One other statement is the meme which shows, " Are you Drunk?" I laughed so hard and I don't even drink. Thanks for the laughs Mimi.

  9. You are gifted in solving people's problem. What would they do without you being there for them. It was challenging trying to see the critters that were so well camouflaged.

  14. Never a dull moment in your life! Not finding a credit card is traumatizing. I hate Wells Fargo, but they do make it easy to put a hold on their card on-line and then remove the hold when you find the card.
