It's Not Me If There Aren't Extenuating Circumstances, a Word Counters Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Part of today’s post is also a writing challenge. This is how it works: one of the contributing bloggers picked a number between 12 and 74. The submitted number is a challenge to participating bloggers to write at least one piece using that exact number of words.

This month, the word count number is: 18

It was submitted by:  yours truly

On the Border

So far, vacation is wonderful with a couple of spots; it’s not my life if there aren’t complications.

Sweetie worked out a deal with someone at a music shop here to buy a used guitar pedal.

The person selling it kept trying to give us directions using road names not exit names or numbers.

If the road is called Scenic Highway, but the freeway exit says Pace, we non-locals get lost.

When we finally arrived, Sweetie hopped out of the truck before i could even get it in park!

He's thrilled with his purchase, he now has a new toy to play with when he gets home.

Sunday morning, i went to church at the bar as usual.  Central Flora-Bama Church, 9am and 11am!

Flora-Bama is a locally "famous" bar, and it's where the Great Mullet Toss is held each year.

Yes, they toss mullet fish across the state line, it's a big competition and a whopping good time.

Anyway, i noticed that morning that something felt "off," but i couldn't quite put my finger on it.

By Sunday evening, i knew i had a serious UTI, and that something needed to be done immediately.

Step one was to get to the nearest pharmacy for the OTC medicine that could stop the pain.

Step two, Monday morning, go back to the pharmacy to pick up the antibiotic my doctor called in.

Yes, i'm feeling much better now.  No, i haven't let it stop me taking my early morning walks.

There we have it, a few ups and downs so far, in 18 word sentences.  Now it's time for some of the stuff Grandma forwards to me.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!
