All Dressed Up (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections and Sunday Selfie

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Yesterday we got to go back to the polls for the runoff elections and to vote on more constitutional and tax stuff which didn't get on last month's ballot.

As i headed for the door of the building, i could hear someone coming up behind me at a fast clip, and i opened the door and then held it for whoever was behind me, assuming s/he was in a tearing hurry.

It was a gentleman in a tuxedo who protested, "Oh, no, you first!"

I commented on how he must be in a rush to get somewhere important, and he said, "I'm presiding over my son's wedding in two-an-a-half hours!"

I offered my best wishes to the happy couple as he headed to vote in another part of the big room from where my district it.

Boudreaux once done come out de votin' booth an' see Gaston in line wearin' him one o' dem tuxedo suits, an' Gaston say, "What you t'ink 'bout de suit?" as Boudreaux done walk past.

An' Boudreaux say, "Mais, I t'ink you need get you out de house more!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

These are the lights which so fascinated the baby last week.

This week, Link Linker the Stinker wants to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.
