Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
It's hard to figure out what to get as a gift for many family members who are adults and either have or can get for themselves whatever they need. Some of us have just decided we aren't giving each other anything more than a Christmas card.
Thibodeaux done be at Boudreaux' house an' he ax Tee Boudreaux, "What you want Papa Noel bring you fo' Christmas?"
An' Tee say, "I not goin' be ax fo' ennyt'ing no mo'."
An' Thibodeaux done ax, "Why not?"
An' Tee say, "Ever' year, my Père ax Papa Noel to make hims tummy thin an' hims bank account fat, an' ever' year Papa Noel done mix dem up, so if'n he cain't get it right, mais! I's jes' not goin' ax no mo'!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.
The house where we've had our Wednesday night Bible study this past semester was decorated for the season at our final meeting, mostly with creches from around the world, from large to tiny.
There's also a framed picture postcard which was sent to the lady of the house when she was only 3 years old by her father when he was fighting in Italy during the war.

ReplyDeleteJack looks ready for christmas. And the pictures are absolutely so fun to look at because they are more to my liking for Christmas decorations. All of our neighbors have these ridiculous blow up things in their yards.
ReplyDeleteSo many festive decorations, but Jack is the best of the show.
