Lotion Bottles and Busy Days, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

Carl has been busy.  I never did find out why his shoes were in the laundry room beside/behind the sink.

I arrived to find he'd not checked his pockets again and there was tissue in the washer and mess, well, it was inevitable.

After all, they have him work extra hours in December, so he gets even more in a muddle.

At least he was already in his sleep chair so i could start quickly.  First, check the fridge.

Ugh.  At least he had a sandwich.  The leftovers he'll have to deal with, or eat, himself, but i did get the messy bag with heaven-knows-what in it out and in the trash.

Oh, and he once again has a lotion bottle, with the requisite smears of lotion on the outside of the bottle.  Be afraid chair, be very afraid.  (For those who might not know, he inevitably leaves the lotion covered bottle on a cloth chair, and it is now stained with so much lotion there's no going back.)

As always, i had the bathroom set up so he could shower as soon as he woke, and when he did i reminded him not to come out of there until he was fully dressed.

He did pretty well, just lacking shoes and socks because he is still looking for the powder he has not yet bought.  Once again, he raided his mother's.

As he readied himself, he talked, a lot of it mumbling but some i could catch.  One of his friends wasn't available this weekend, but he did some shopping, and went to a movie with someone.  Presumably a different friend.

Carl was loading his car when i went out with a load of recyclables.  "What's that?" he asked.  I told him and he said, "Don't throw away any iTunes card!"

I reassured him it was all empty boxes, random paper he doesn't need, or empty bottles or cans.  I also promised i would never, ever throw out a gift card of any kind, as i never have.  He seemed reassured.

He came back in, picked up one of the Christmas cards from his stack and said, "Whose is this?"

Since i had no idea, before i could respond he opened it, named the person who was intended to receive it, and threw it on top of his refrigerator.  I'm not taking any bets on whether the person receives it.

Just before leaving, he was trying to change shirts.  At first i thought it was because he'd ditched his apron early and gotten it dirty, but it was actually just a bit damp.  No, he was trying to grab a long-sleeve shirt and i asked why.

It's going to be almost 80°F today, i told him, you do not want long sleeves just because it's a tiny bit cool this morning.

He agreed and stayed in the short sleeves, and when next i saw him he was rummaging for sunglasses on a cloudy day.  He's out of sunglasses, he's gone through all of them, lost or broken.  He didn't need them anyway.

Now his phone, Carl needs that to sign in at work.  He asked me where it was, and of course, i had not seen it anywhere.  He found it in his sleep chair.

There's no being frustrated, though, with a big kid who has once again joined a bowling league, and loves gnomes.

He had so many dirty clothes this week i did an extra load, so once there was nothing left but waiting for the towels to dry, i went to my client across the street, did the work for her, and came back to finish up those towels.  As i told Ms. V, no way was i leaving them to Carl's tender mercies, they'd never make it to the shelf and he'd be rummaging in the hall linen closet by Thursday.

Always, by the time i'm gone, it's in good enough condition for him to start messing it up again.

More Christmas funnies.

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!
