Real or Ersatz? (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections and Sunday Selfie

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Yesterday, Grandpa was encouraging us to eat leftovers for lunch, the same leftovers as what we brought home ourselves and had been eating for a couple of days now.  These things do have a shelf life, you know.

Clothile done been servin' de leftover turkey fo' lots o' meals, de gumbo, de jambalaya an' such, an' young Tee Boudreaux done be a bit tired o' de stuff.

Long 'bout 4 days after de T'anksgivin', he ax hims Mère, "What be fo' dinner?"

An' Clothile say, "Chicken."

An' Tee say, "Chicken chicken or turkey chicken?

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

Photos taken on the fly at a house where i spent a bit of time this week, and what sky shots i managed to get.

  3. Oh yes the leftover turkey. It seems to have a life of its own for weeks at a time. I love the Blue China Kitty sitting on the vanity. And of course the sky scenes are lovely. We actually had Sunshine here yesterday for the first day in about 5. 18°, but it was beautiful. Happy Sunday
