Special Bed (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week, and Poetry Monday, Beans

 ***********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

This is Lily, who was so busy asking for pets I could not get a clear picture.  She is an office kitty at the shelter and has a bed in a drawer, it is her favorite place to sleep.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week.  While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

***********************************

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break

accommodations we must make

we miss her poetry and wit

so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!

This week the theme is Beans.

If you think of your life in jelly beans

it sort of goes this way,

you have 28,835 of them

if you count one bean for each day.

That's a life of 79 years,

and 8,477 beans are spent in bed,

that's just over 23 years

of time to rest your weary head.

About 1,635 beans are for

dealing with food and drink,

near 1,576 for chores including

doing dishes at the kitchen sink.

Your working beans amount

to 3,202 and to boot

1,099 are in the car

including your commute.

If you watch the current average

of 2,676 beans spent on TV

it leaves you about 3,000 beans

for all else you want to do or be.

How do you now spend your beans,

is it on what's of most import?

If not, rethink your spending,

before your beans run short.

Future themes are:

Dec. 2  Beans (Today!)

Dec. 9  A Bumpy Ride

Dec. 16 Recipe for Disaster

Dec.  23 Never Say Never  and/or  Christmas/Hanukkah

Dec. 30  All Done
