Jack was waiting for his person, Uncle J, to get back from the gym.
Is that him?
He's the soul of patience, that one.

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break
accommodations we must make
we miss her poetry and wit
so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!
Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily. Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!
This week the theme is Recipe for Disaster.
It's a recipe for disaster
on this I will insist
when you have two old clunker cars
and a huge, long Christmas list
of things to do and places to go
and people to drive to see
as well as cook a big ol' meal
and deliver a gift or three.
You gotta have a contingency
plan at your beck and call
or else you're gonna get stuck
and on celebrations cast a pall
our solution is call the car place
and rent a car despite the expense
it makes the days flow better,
it's my recipe for sense.
Future themes are:
Dec. 16 Recipe for Disaster (Today!)
Dec. 23 Never Say Never and/or Christmas/Hanukkah
Dec. 30 All Done
