It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Now that Carl's shift has changed, time is not on my side.
Instead of arriving as he's stepping out of the shower, i'm arriving as he's wanting to roll over and go back to sleep for a little while longer.
Unfortunately, i have other clients after him, so he has to move and go sleep in his chair in the living room.
Yesterday, that lasted 15 minutes before he came back in and said he was done, it was shower time.
After i'd put his clean clothes -- pants/trousers, shirt, underwear, socks and shoes -- in the bathroom for him, he kept coming out to try to grab other things and i kept shooing him back in there, like one of those paddle balls on a rubber band.
Once he stayed, he came out fully dressed and as much in his right mind as any of us ever are.
Over the next hour, he bounced back and forth between the kitchen and his room, chattering at me the way he does each time he saw me.
He talked about a local church where he was taking a class, a sermon he heard on what sounded like "cultural moments," whatever he meant by that, prices for things, ministry to the homeless, and doing yard work.
His green apron is still missing, and now a couple of the aprons from the kitchen are gone, too. We can't figure out if he's stuffing them somewhere, taking them off in his car and leaving them there (not that i saw, i had to get in there to get his lunch cooler), or worst possibility of all, going to work with them on and realizing it there and taking them off in the building.
If the latter is the case, they will never see the inside of their house again.
How about some funnies.
That last one should have illustrated my poem yesterday.
Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

Most people lose socks. Carl loses aprons. Love the funnies.
ReplyDeleteCarl's shift change presents some challenges for you. Thanks for the funnies.
ReplyDeleteIt is so much easier to get things done when you are on your own and can zoom around and no one bothers you. Carl would be a challenge. Maybe sneak over to his work and ask them to change his schedule back to the way it was, LOL! Good funnies.
ReplyDeleteCheck the refrigerator for the aprons. It's amazing what we find in ours.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I don't have time for a time management seminar either. Ha!
Carl definitely keeps you busy ~ fun comics you posted too ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days ~
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Great funnies. I always enjoy reading them.
ReplyDeleteYour last comment made me laugh, Yes indeed it fit your not-running poems perfectly
ReplyDeleteI love Carl and I have a feeling those aprons are long gone. If you can't find them then they are gone.
ReplyDeleteFour years later. Bwahahahahahahahaha. That's exactly how it works.
Loved all the funnies and that last one is so me. That's why I walk, not run.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Love and hugs, my friend. ♥
That is odd about the aprons. I like the just in case. :) XO
ReplyDeleteThe missing aprons, what a puzzle that is. The funnies were terrific though!
ReplyDeleteWell. Missing aprons. My Grandma misplaced her purse. Couldn't find it anywhere! Mama started looking around, and realized the butter was sitting on an end table next to the door. She walked over to the fridge, opened the door, one purse found. Hope you have that kind of fortune. Does he like butter? ;)
ReplyDeleteCat
Hopefully those aprons come up soon.
ReplyDeleteThe memes were entertaining!
Lulu: "Apron, apron, who's got the apron?"
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Our Dada says all those memes about running out of time reminds him of a song he likes where one of the lines is, 'We never could run faster than the passing years'. He says that gets more true every time he hears it!"
I often lose a sock, but never an apron! Really funny funnies again this week!
