It's late, there was extra work today, and i'm thankful it's time to write my Thankful Day post, and then i will be thankful for bed.
Last week we ended with us going to Grandma and Grandpa's on Friday instead of Saturday, and Slow-Moe had trouble when we finally got back into town. The power steering went out.
We were very thankful to make it into town and home, and most thankful to still have GusGus Die Fledermaus, even without A/C.
I was thankful i'd told the shelter i wouldn't be there Friday evening, by the time we limped to the house, it was late and i wasn't worth much.
Saturday morning was lovely, though, i didn't have to wake to an alarm even if i did have to run an errand before the party. I'm thankful i got it done.
The baby shower was lovely and i was thankful #2 Son came by and got the crib we'd been storing at our house, i was thankful they had the party nearby, and thankful all the gifts got into the apartment from the party room at the complex before the rain really kicked up in earnest.
Sweetie was thankful his friend loaned him the truck for getting to church on Sunday.
Monday saw us thankful to find out the power steering trouble was a glitch and we learned how it happens and how to fix it next time, no major repairs. I was also thankful to be able to make time to run home and tell Sweetie something when he had his phone turned off again and still get all the work done.
We were thankful to be able to clean Kevin and Lenny's on Tuesday and while there, Slow-Moe got an oil change.
The ladies' Bible study summer session finished out that evening, and we were thankful for a lovely time of fellowship. I was also thankful to find out the fall study will be right around the corner from here, just up the highway about a quarter mile, so i should be able to start up again in September with that one.
Ms. G texted Monday to let me know she had Covid19. I was thankful to be able to do outdoor work for her this past Wednesday and she will pay me next week when it's finally safe to see her again.
Thursdays at Ms. V's place are usually a long run, this week i was thankful to get through in record time.
That's also the day Ms. D called and explained her daughter will be in town next week, could she get me to come another day?
Thus i was thankful to say yes and have a very long day today. Prayer group went well, Ms. G's was like clockwork, then Ms. D, then the shelter, where the ringworm, we're thankful to say, has been isolated from an entire hallway down to 3 rooms.
And since i'm more tired than i thought (i messed up the Feline Friday link at first and had to fix it, and linked up improperly at the Six Sentence Hop), i'm going to go be thankful for my bed for a few hours.
