“Wail” of a Good Time, Sunday Selections, and Sunday Selfies

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Grandpa sometimes pulls me aside when I am there to talk to me about important topics which will be pertinent "after I'm gone."  He has left a will, detailed instructions, letters, notes, and told us what's what, but he still feels the need to sometimes inform me of certain things, "just to make sure."  He's an overplanner.

Boudreaux and Thibodeaux done be talkin' 'bout de plan fo' dey fun'ral, an; what dey want, an' Boudreaux say, "I t'ink I want some dem Jewish people dere, you know, de ones dat be professional at wailin' an' weepin' an; carryin' on 'bout de deceased."

An' from de nex' room, Clothile say, "Mais, do dat be so's to counter de ones dat goin' be cheerin' an' celebratin'?"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

Pictures this week are from our morning walk last Sunday after Saturday evening's storm, including some of the storm damage (and yes, my Nature Friday photo is included as i really like the view), followed by a couple of shots of the setting up of Pastor B's retirement reception, and sunset photos.

This week, Lucky wants to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.  She was the one dropped off in the night outside the shelter in a basket.  She had jumped out of the basket, but came back to it and is now waiting for a foster home.  She's "lucky" she didn't run off, who knows what would have happened to her!

She is a chatterbox.

  9. Oona: "Lucky sure does sound lucky, and also smart, to have gone back to safety so she could get picked up and find a home! Just like how Oona was lucky that another cat dropped her off at her Dada's cousin's house so that Oona could find a home. Sing the song of your people, Lucky!"
