Looking Up, a Ten Things of Thankful Post

Things are looking up this Thankful Day.

Last Saturday worked out well in spite of Grandma's changing the game and wanting some things done at her house in a different order.  I'm thankful i'm finding ways to get things done on time anyway.

Mr. Cal had a meet-up with his dog friends on the walk with him and Becca last week, and we know he's thankful for those.  I'm thankful for the pictures i get to take of them having fun.

The part for my Sweetie's phone was in, so on Monday he dropped it off to have the new screen installed.  I'm thankful it's done and i was there to get his phone out of maintenance mode when it was over, he was baffled.

I actually got to sleep until after 6am on Tuesday!  Talk about thankful, it hasn't happened in a long time.

Once i was up, i got to babysit.  My little Annie is a joy, even when she's screaming and fighting not to go to sleep.

Ms. G was determined to get certain things done on Wednesday and i'm thankful they were done, and done to her specifications.

It was scheduled to be a long day Thursday and i'm thankful i got to Ms. V and Mr. L's place very, very early.  Mr. L, thankfully, got up to eat and i was able to change out his pillowcases, and Ms. V got up early to go work out so i was able to get the sheets and towels from the bedroom and thus got laundry going almost 2 hours earlier than usual!

I'm also thankful i persisted in questioning about Carl and his schedule.  He kept insisting he did not have work because of an appointment, but he'd mixed up the days, it was Friday he had off.  Because i wouldn't drop it, he found out about the mix-up and still got to work on time.

Ms. V's place, thankfully, was done in time for me to get to Kevin and Lenny's.  I'm still thankful they are letting me clean this month and next in exchange for the new battery in the car.

As for Friday, Ms. GA's was done in record time and i not only finally got to the bank, after trying for a couple of weeks, i was able to go to the office and cancel my upcoming eye surgery.

One more talk with our circle leader about it convinced me, i will be getting a different doctor.  I'm thankful she was so brutally honest with me and feel as if a weight has been lifted.

Even more, because my Sweetie thinks the doctor who did my first surgery is a fabulous one, i was concerned about telling him his hero might be flawed, although you'd think my first very difficult surgery would have convinced him.

I'm thankful he took it well and agreed with me, another doctor would be better, so things really are looking up for me with my eyes..

As for the cat shelter Friday evening, we had extra volunteers and by the time we all left, the place looked sharp and we are thankful.
