It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
The laundry room was suspiciously empty when i walked in to Carl's yesterday.
It's because all the clothes were still in his room.
The sniff test was widely employed to determine the state of cleanliness of much of it, often with less than happy or appealing results.
The things you smell for work, right?
I included two sets of clothing in the bathroom for him so he could choose, gathered up all the dirty clothes and sorted and started the wash, then looked in his fridge.
All the healthy food in there told me something was up.
Ah, he'd gotten nutrition info from somewhere and acted on it. Now to find out if he will end up actually eating most of it.
Around his usual wake-up time, i went to the kitchen and he was taking his morning meds. I told him the stuff was ready for him in the bathroom and he said, "I need two more minutes!"
Two minutes never helped me, but he went back to his chair for two full minutes. Then he was willing to get up and come take a shower.
He chose the one outfit and went to have his breakfast, then came back and asked if he should have chosen the other. I told him he could change after breakfast if he wanted, and he was satisfied (and did come back and change later).
His fridge might be full of healthy food right now, but he's still Carl.
He bought ciabatta and garlic butter, and has simply been tearing hunks off and slathering them and eating it. Carl likes what he likes.
While he had breakfast and i packed lunch, he asked about church and i told him to be sure he and his parents sign up for the crawfish boil dinner on Palm Sunday. (Yes, i also told Ms. V.)
Then he went into great detail about a fitness event he attended over the weekend. "They had a mindfulness hike, and exercise, and nerf gun wars!" He detailed the nerf wars minutely, about dodging behind tents and trees, firing off nerf darts and how many hits he took and gave, as he'd obviously had a grand time.
Once he'd eaten and changed again, he mentioned he wanted to get to Bible study group that night, we talked the pros and cons of which belt he should wear to work, and as he was leaving he said something which sounded like, "I have to get the safety glasses back to zagrub!"
Whatever he meant, i'm sure it will get done, at some point, in Carl fashion.
How about some funnies.
Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!

LOL, squirrel in traffic! Poor Carl, if only he could grasp the concept of things a bit better but going through life without really worrying would not be bad either if you have people to take care of you.
