I Agree With This License Tag (Wordless Wednesday) and Words for Wednesday

 ***********************************

Linking up with Wordless Wednesday, BeThere2Day, and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

***********************************

Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and has become a moveable feast of word or picture or music prompts to encourage us to write stories, poems, or whatever strikes our fancy.

This month, the prompts are provided by River

This week's words/prompts are:

1. chicanery

2. wicker

3. curly

4. prissy

5. superb

6. uncommon

Also Charlotte's colour of the month which is Orient Red for September.

Granny was in the WICKER rocking chair, knitting a muffler from a warm Orient Red yarn and shaking her head but also smiling over her grandchildren's latest CHICANERY.

The two CURLY haired culprits, boy and girl, were standing in the dock.  Granny thought what they had done this time showed an UNCOMMON amount of gumption and some rather SUPERB thinking.  Saving up several toilet paper tubes, soaking them and squishing and molding them into exact replicas of human poop, then leaving them on all the toilet seats, was a rather gross prank but harmless, really.

Mama was not so sure, as one of her guests at tea had been the one heading in to use the facility and found the product of their imagination and almost lost it.

Mama said they'd gone too far this time with their pranking.

Granny looked at Mama and said, "Would you rather they be full of spunk and big ideas, or just PRISSY babies?"

They were made to apologize to the ladies for what they'd done and told if they ever pulled a prank on guests again, they wouldn't be allowed the leftover tea cakes, which was enough to get them to walk the straight and narrow with guests ever after.

They never promised, though, they wouldn't aim for pulling something at church next...

  1. Great story! I'd prefer kids who thought and did over kids who sit quietly as told wihtout ever thinking for themselves. But the "poop" prank is maybe a step too far.
I like that licence plate too.

  5. Funny license plate. Sometimes I see vanity plates that actually I cannot understand what they're trying to say. And I think they're a waste of money needless to say.
