For any who don't read here regularly, the granddaughter was born this last Saturday.
The new parents are finding out a new baby leaves you sleep deprived and almost feeling "punch drunk."
Newborn babies are now kept at the hospital for about 48 hours in the room with their parents, and if you've ever spent that much time in a hospital, you know sleep is the last thing you get. Food, medical care, nurses in at all hours, the baby needing constant care and attention, and visitors, yes, sleep, no.
Meanwhile, this GG spent time running errands, working, and taking care of the dog between jobs. I also spent the night with the dog that keeps me up a lot at night and went to meetings, and am a little on the "punch drunk" side myself.

ReplyDeleteIt is going to be a big adjustment for the entire family with the new little one. Even though everyone is tired, these are times to cherish as the baby will the norm soon and before you know it she will be sleeping all night, off to school, and then leaving home. Congratulations again on the new baby.

ReplyDeleteMany congratulations on the (safe) arrival of a blessed child. I always love such wonderful news. I adopted my two sons (who are now grown and given me four grandchildren) ... children, no matter how they come into ones life are blessing (imo).
